It was a 65 technically, but sold in the 66 model year. It had no reverse lights. I ended up trading that car for some work. the package tray was
gone, and was just rusting away on me. It was a lesson the whole way around. I'm sure it was stolen...

Hey, does anybody have any cool color ideas that I can consider for my bug. I am thinking of Beryl green, Gulf blue, or maybe anthracite. I want it to
be a color you don't see around here very often. It will stay slammed ( except air ride added ) with stock smoothie wheels and whitewalls most likely
since I am goin' for the Resto-Cal thing. post any pics of cool colors you find. I may do a two tone but only if my bug turns out to be a Deluxe model
(only model beetle with two tone factory paint-I think )after I get my Birth Certificate for it.

'04 GTI 1.8T
Gone but not forgotten:
'65 Beetle
'73 Super Beetle rolling death trap
'73 Super Beetle Autostick

Had to spend a while tracking these down, but I've always been a fan of:
Note that it's hard to get a really good idea of what the color REALLY looks like from pics because of differences in lighting, exposure, and
finally the contrast/coloring ratios of your monitor.
L51 Bordeaux Red ('48 to '51 bugs)

L313 Reed Green ('55 to '56 bugs)

L451 India Red ('59 to '60)

L390 Gulf Blue ('58 tp '64)
