Very nice!!!
I always liked the style of the late 80s / early 90s VWs - though I'm not a fan of their business moves & company zeitgeist of the era. They were
in a weird transitory stage as far as appearance, when a lot of the design ques of the popular European cars of the time were falling away in favor of
more "modern" styles, but VW kept them as they (slowly) adopted more modern lines.
(translation) Big round bug-eye headlamps with an under-bite bumper and square butt ... makes me smile. Make it go vroom-vroom!
Speaking of bug-eyed with a square rump, there's a red supermini for sale at a used car lot on Jeff Davis HWY just next to the Falling Creek
Apartments, parked right out front - I think they're asking under $2k. Has anyone rolled past it? Know what I'm talking about? Know what the make /
model is? I've got a big chubby for tiny cars, and seeing this post makes me want to go check that one out. It's a two door hatch, looks like it
would actually fit in my Bug's trunk - can't be much bigger than a Fiat 500 if at all.
